GiveRoom processes conversation audio live on the device to estimate speaking balance and, when enabled, create a temporary transcript. GiveRoom does not save or upload conversation audio. Transcript text is erased when the conversation ends.
GiveRoom may save a numerical summary containing the completion date, duration, selected preset, group size, owner and group speaking totals, target share, coaching count, and whether Conversation Canvas was used. It never contains audio, transcript text, names, contacts, or location. The user can delete one summary or erase all history.
A compact mathematical voice profile is stored in the iPhone Keychain and contains no audio recording. It can be deleted in Settings. GiveRoom removes an orphaned profile when it detects a fresh installation. Optional names and specialized terms are stored only in app settings on the iPhone and can be cleared at any time.
Reflection images contain numerical totals and encouragement, never audio or transcript content. An image leaves GiveRoom only when the user chooses a destination in Apple's share sheet.
GiveRoom has no advertising, third-party analytics, account system, or tracking SDK. GiveRoom does not sell personal data. Speaker and speech recognition run on the device; Apple may download an on-device language model through system services.
The device owner must obtain agreement from everyone present before starting. GiveRoom shows a persistent microphone indicator during an active session.
Audio and live transcripts are not retained. Numerical summaries, optional transcription terms, and the voice profile remain only until the user deletes them as described above or removes the app, subject to the fresh-install Keychain cleanup described above.
